The Effect of Noise, Work Stress, Nutritional Status and Working Period on Work Productivity Through Work Fatigue at PT Semen Bosowa Maros

Abstract
Work productivity is vital in manufacturing, where high-risk conditions exist. Factors like noise and work stress can affect performance directly and indirectly through fatigue. This study aims to analyze the influence of noise and work stress on work productivity through work fatigue in workers at PT Semen Bosowa Maros. This study used an analytical observational design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population was all workers in the production and packaging departments, with a total sampling technique. Noise data were obtained through direct measurements using a sound level meter, while data on work stress, work fatigue and work productivity were collected using a structured questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using univariate, bivariate and multivariate methods using path analysis. The results of the study indicate that noise levels and work stress significantly influence work fatigue. Work fatigue has also been shown to significantly influence work productivity. Furthermore, noise and work stress have an indirect effect on work productivity through work fatigue as a mediating variable. These findings indicate that the higher the noise exposure and work stress levels, the higher the work fatigue experienced by workers, thus impacting work productivity. Occupational fatigue plays a key role as a mediator in the relationship between noise and work stress on productivity. Therefore, companies are advised to implement noise control, work stress management and improve work environment conditions to reduce fatigue and increase worker productivity.
