Abstract
The digital humanities (DH) have rapidly matured into a transformative domain where computational innovation intersects with humanistic scholarship. Over the past two decades, this interdisciplinary field has redefined how researchers interpret, preserve, and disseminate cultural knowledge. The present study conducts a thorough bibliometric examination of publications indexed in the Scopus database to map the intellectual structure, leading contributors, and evolving thematic directions of DH scholarship. Based on an analysis of 544 peer-reviewed journal articles published from 2001 to 2024, the study integrates citation performance, productivity indicators, and network visualization techniques. The results indicate a steady expansion of DH research, with substantial scholarly activity concentrated in United Kingdom, United States, and China. Prominent thematic areas include digital heritage conservation, artificial intelligence applications in cultural inquiry, and data-intensive frameworks such as big data analytics. Co-occurrence network analysis further reveals interlinked clusters centered on digital curation, cultural informatics, and computational methodologies. Collectively, the findings demonstrate how DH contributes to advancing cultural sustainability, enhancing knowledge ecosystems, and reinforcing interdisciplinary collaboration. These findings provide a valuable reference for scholars, policy makers, and institutions aiming to cultivate innovation and strengthen global research partnerships within this dynamic and continually evolving discipline.
